Quotes from Past Participants:

"I am amazed and grateful at how meaningful and touching this training was, even being an elearning format. I have worked with teams in a virtual environment for years. Yet, in this training, I felt a heart to heart connection I haven’t experienced before. I loved Niran’s drive. I have learned from her much more than CTT framework!" - Malena Philpotts, Parrhesian, Argentina

"The training may have changed my professional life. I love the tools and what you can do with it. Perfect adaptation to my needs and learning style, seamless experience with the virtual technology, realizing how powerful is the tool, surprisingly in coaching. I love Niran. Highly efficient and professional, yet human and authentic." - Solime Gaboriault, Foug, Canada

"It is a very powerful tool that provides us with access to information that is usually difficult to get to. Niran has such a great knowledge and experience with CTT tools and was very encouraging to all of us during the whole training. She has a very positive and simple way to communicate with trainees. I found the training went by too quickly. She conveyed her passion and patience and gave me the confidence to begin my own journey with CTT tools." - Dany Trudel, CAE Inc, Canada

"I highly appreciated Niran’s experience. The clarity of the words she uses to explain the tool and its benefits is something fantastic. Very energetic and healthy training, I truly believe the course is great. Niran was an exceptional facilitator. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her for new training programms whether for myself or to other. Very dynamic, optimistic, with a great sense of humour." - Ignacio Diorio, VMBC, Argentina

"Great insights and sharing of experiences from Niran. This brought the material to life and really helped understand the use and context of the values assessment and how they are used. Niran is very inclusive and welcoming, with a wonderful warm approach. She provided a training environment which encouraged interaction." - Adrian Selley, nab, Australia

"Most valuable to understand some of the key’s and insights the CTT is working with and to see that the tool and framework are “alive” by people actually using it. The highlight is to connect all over the globe in the most dynamic circumstances and learn from each other in this virtual training and to get to know Niran and sense her wisdom and generosity. She is very warm, very inviting, with a huge background. What a privilege to be trained by Niran." - Monika Gutscher, OD Executive, Switzerland

"Most valuable to reflect on Barrett’s model, my own framework/theory of adult development and listen to a thoughtful, experienced researcher and OD practitioner in Niran. She is sophisticated and subtle, conceptual and practical at the same time. She has a good theory of development and philosophy of life that together with her experience in the fields of organization and individual development provides wonderful insights." - Cam Danielson, Odyssey, USA

"The personal examples that the facilitator shared her own experience with customers were of immense value for me. The training was just right for people like us – who are already at a certain stage in our own personal and professional development – to get us in the right mindset so that we could effectively explore on our own wealth of knowledge and expertise.  I really appreciated every step of the experience with the facilitator. She was authentic, open, easy to approach, genuine, empathetic and fully present for us on one side, and experienced and competent as an expert on the other." - Natalia Blagoeva, Eudaimonia Solutions, Bulgaria

"Prework was very helpful in gaining an understanding of the foundations, which expedited the learning experience. Niran was excellent at listening to each of the participant’s unique needs, experiences and questions and responded effectively to these inquiries. She did a wonderful job at facilitating learning for each of us. She kept things balanced between emotional and intellectual learning and having fun. She created an extremely comfortable environment for learning." - Ron Thomas, Butler University, USA

"Niran has a wealth of experience and knowledge and is skilled at making the content accessible and engaging. Niran adapted her approach effectively to meet the needs of the group and ensured that all participants were engaged and had the opportunity to practice use of the tools. I felt energised after the training, and can’t wait to get started using the tools. Prior to the course, I was apprehensive about the limitations of online training. However, I didn’t find the technology a barrier. In fact, I felt that the opportunity to participate in learning with participants from the UK, Australia, and Canada added a richness to the experience which outweighed the potential limitations of working through an electronic medium.”  - Jim Irving, University of York, UK

"The examples by Niran, group discussions, the individual exercises and partner activities are most valuable. Niran is a wonderful facilitator and uses the online webinar in a very engaging manner.  Very interactive, encouraging, constructive and interesting. I am not a huge fan of webinar learning- but this experience with CCT and Niran has changed my mind! “ - Tanya Southworth, Alchemy Change Hub, Australia

"I liked the way Niran engaged the group. Understanding the depth of the tool and the various ways in which it could be utilised is a highlight for me. Niran is an amazing trainer, available before the course and very pleasant during the training to ensure we connected amongst participants.” - Sandra Saint-fleur, Air Canada, Canada

"The training is most valuable in widening my perspectives on how our values influence us in our lives – privately and professionally - and learning about tools to help us make values and their impact measurable and tangible in order to explore ways to develop and improve. Niran comes across as a beautiful and wise person, with a great motivation to develop other people and organisations."  -Karin Knardahl Frost, PwC, Norway

"Niran and the way she enabled us all to not only intellectually grasp the model but to take the personal learning too. Her facilitation, knowledge, and ability as a coach are extraordinary. CTT is amazing. Niran is exceptional - Awesome. Skilled. Insightful. Elegant role modeling of being a coach."  -Richard Tyler, BTFI, UK

Quotes from Past Participants:

"Niran was terrific. A gifted teacher and very knowledgeable with all the Barrett materials. She is an experienced coach/facilitator and enriched the learning by bringing in so much of her own client.  She has a lovely relaxed style and an easy going approach. I have been using the free PVA tool with clients for the past year and was excited about deepening my knowledge of these powerful tools by becoming a certified CTT Practitioner. The certification program was very thorough and gave me the additional knowledge and skills to add even more value for my advisory and coaching clients." – Mary Garden, Mary Garden & Associates, Canada

"Niran is generous and knowledgeable, and the joy she finds from working with the CTT and her clients is inspiring. Each time I felt myself slipping into the ‘I don’t understand’ abyss, Niran was able to gently nudge and guide me to a different level of knowledge. Given this course was online this shows Niran’s amazing people skills and ability to read people very well to gauge learning even though we are all situated in different countries and places around the world and connecting ‘online’. I am very much looking forward to getting out there with my clients and using the CTT tools. Many thanks to Niran and to the Vaues Centre for the excellent training, and the amazing array of resources I now have to help my clients." -Tanya Southworth, Alchemy Change Hub, Australia

Niran really used the virtual tools to their greatest extent to facilitate a collaborative session. I liked her calm and warm approach – really insightful, very strong interpersonal approach and perfect for the Part 2 course. The LDR process left us all on a huge high. I would strongly recommend the course.” - Max Evans, Ernst & Young, UK

Joy Rees

Joy is an experienced programme manager who leads global teams through change in a focused, energy filled and values driven way. She holds a first class MB Leadership degree.  Joy spent 16 years in a South African Bank as a senior manager learning that the key to high performance in an organisation lies in having a diverse, committed team who are valued for their skills, knowledge and the unique contribution that they can make given the right opportunity. She believes that it is possible for organisations to be high performing, delivery focused, cost conscious and put the customer first only if they have their people at the heart of their business.

Working with people has always been at the centre of Joy’s roles. As a manager growing and developing people through opportunities, coaching and feedback was vital. In her more recent role she has enabled and empowered others through the change implementations working with them to ensure that each transformation is accompanied by the necessary communication, training and particularly the support that is needed for HRBP.

Joy is passionate about ensuring that the work of transformation and change is strongly linked to the strategy and vision of the organisation. She has worked with both the Risk and Customer Experience teams in Old Mutual to forge these links and to make them visible through reporting.

Joy has developed particular skills at leading implementations teams who are globally dispersed.  Using collaborative software, video and telecon and webex for both training and leading project teams, she has developed techniques to ensure that meetings can be held efficiently and effectively allowing all team members to participate and engage.

Joy is known for ‘getting things done’ but this is tempered with a deep commitment to listen, collaborate, allowing solutions to emerge through conversation and inquiry.

Recommendations  - Sue-Ann Ind (Group Head of Governance, Risk, Compliance & Regulatory Affairs, Old Mutual plc)

I have had the pleasure of working with Joy and Faiza over the last three years (since 2013), using the Barrett Culture tool to form an overall picture of what culture means from a risk perspective.  As a risk professional, I had little insight into the workings and rationale of the methodology and the Barrett tool.  Joy and Faiza supported me to learn about the methodology and the tool in some detail through their training workshops, meetings with Richard Barrett and many meetings with me to help me practically apply what I’d learnt.

This was a fundamental contribution to enabling us to then develop an in-house “top down” tool to assess and quantify Risk and Control Culture – something that many organisations still struggle to achieve.  This culminated in the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) using our firm’s approach to culture underpinning the strategy as a case study in their 2016 publication on Corporate Culture and the Role of Boards: https://www.frc.org.uk/Our-Work/Publications/Corporate-Governance/Corpor...

Joy and Faiza were proactive in identifying forums for us to share and teach others about our approach and to test our ideas.  This helped us to achieve buy-in and feedback to improve from a diverse group; and also helped us to develop a really deep understanding of how all the component parts of culture complemented each other and worked together.  We consequently developed a really sound working relationship between the HR and the Risk teams and a fantastic tool - which for me personally was very fulfilling and a lot of fun!

I also understand that our firm had one of the greatest rates of individuals using the Barrett tool to complete our “bottom up” survey.  For me, this means that the training was clear and that people understood and believed in and trusted the tool – it had credibility and integrity.  Faiza and Joy’s role was fundamental to achieving this across our FTSE50 global financial services group, which operates across multiple geographies, lines of business and cultures!
