Joan was co-founder and Senior Partner of Richard Barrett and Associates (now BVC) for 10 years dating back to 1997 where she designed all the CTT Training that was delivered in the late 1990’s and well into the 2000’s. She has trained more than 1200 consultants and change agents around the world in values-based assessments and strength-based methodologies.
Joan’s areas of expertise are leadership development, team cohesion programs, and cultural transformation. She brings more than 20 years of experience using CTT assessments with CEO’s, C-Suite executives, and senior teams in Fortune 250 companies, NGO’s, and nonprofit organizations in North America, Europe, South America, Asia, Africa, and Australia. Her work includes culture analysis, values integration, training, group facilitation, and leadership development for senior executives. She is an independent consultant who works primarily with Merryck & Co., an international mentoring firm, as their LVA provider and member of their Coaching Advisory Board and Leadership Advisory Council. Organisationally, she specializes in analyzing values assessment results and crafting actionable roadmaps that become an integral part of the organisation’s development plan that supports their business strategy.
To this day, she is as passionate and excited about working with LVA’s as she was 20 years ago. She is the creator of the LTVA; would love nothing more than the world to wake-up to the power of the Merger and Acquisition Values Assessment; and has a genuine and maybe albeit perverse love for analyzing complex CVA data.
She lives on the Big Island of Hawaii, is an incurable traveler who loves discovering new places and activities, and has been a volunteer court mediator for the past 15 years. Her current passions are cooking, entertaining, golf, hiking, reading, and Taiko drumming.
Her top 3 values are Integrity, Generosity, and Making a Difference.
