John’s passions are twofold. Firstly, working with organisations and their people clarifying Purpose, Vision, and Values and aligning them to improve engagement and the development of healthy cultures. And secondly liberating their individual and collective talents so that they can be the best they can be. His focus is on working in the boardroom with individuals and teams through diagnosis, challenge and coaching support. John’s top three values are Curiosity, Integrity, and Humility.
John has been working with values since 1990 in organisations aiming to provide coherence around compelling places to work. The process was designed to encourage people to develop their own authenticity around values through behaviours and supporting infrastructure. Leadership engagement and behaviour has always been core to successful transformation.
Individual and organisational transformation is at the heart of what he does. Clear purpose together with values that are embedded and that people live, provide the bedrock of engagement and performance.
John has been using CTT as the basis for providing clarity around current status and desired future for fifteen years and for more than the last ten he has been a trainer partner with BVC.
Over the years John has trained in the UK, UAE, India, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Portugal and the States of Guernsey with participants from every continent. John is comfortable with the diversity that this affords and most programmes are multi-cultural. He has also worked with a number of community and national assessments, including design and follow up.
His career background included a number of years in the brewing and hospitality business, nine of which were in the Boardroom. John has also set up and run for over twenty years a successful boutique global consulting and training practice specialising in leadership, teams, and culture.
